Hi, my name is Mike Senty
I've lived in Cook County and the Minnesota North Shore since 1976. I owned and operated a handcrafted log home production business here, raised my family here, and made my life here. The North Shore is my home. I hope you will soon feel the same about this land and its people. I am retired from residential construction and general contracting. I now make use of my knowledge and experience by offering real estate home inspection services, home radon testing, energy audits, blower door testing, and infrared imaging. I have training and certifications in all these areas, including home energy use analysis and building science.

Standard Home Inspection
When it comes to inspecting homes, I follow a comprehensive Residential Standards of Practice. That means I'll carefully examine everything that's visible and accessible, both inside and outside the house. From the foundation to the roof. Your home inspection will be thorough, informative, and easy to understand.
Home Energy Audits
I use testing equipment and software to perform your energy audit as a component of rebates and tax credits available for home energy improvements through the Inflation Reduction Act. I'm Building Performance Institute certified (BPI-5056017) and follow their Standards of Practice. I offer a complete energy audit or an audit focused on problem solving and areas of concern.
Radon Testing
Radon is a known human carcinogen and the second leading cause of lung cancer, behind smoking. The MN Dept of Health reports that over 40% of tested Cook County homes have elevated levels of radon above the EPA action level of 4 pCi/L and pose a serious health risk. As required, I'm a State licensed radon testing technician (RMEA-00192). Your radon test results will be reliable.
